- Ways to Help
Brides Against Breast Cancer contributes to programs for cancer patients, their families and caregivers. Our outreach and educational efforts during our “Nationwide Tour of Gowns” bridal shows around the country help ensure that people impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their battle with cancer.
Brides Against Breast Cancer (BABC) is a wholly owned affiliate of the Center for Building Hope, headquartered in Sarasota, FL. The Center offers free information, programs and services to cancer patients, caregivers and family members, while connecting them with others who are undergoing a similar experience.
The revenue generated by BABC makes it possible to deliver free information and services to thousands of children and adults impacted by cancer – both on Florida’s Suncoast as well as across the country where we partner with a number of local cancer support organizations in markets visited by our nationwide Tour of Gowns. BABC will contribute $2 million dollars to help people impacted by cancer this year.
Our goal in the coming year is to make free CBH programs and services available to anyone, anywhere through a nationwide online network of more than 100 affiliates called the Network for Building Hope. To help achieve that goal, we have just announced the “I DO” campaign, led by our national ambassador Singer/Songwriter Margo Rey, a breast cancer survivor, and her fiancé, Comedian Ron White. Click here for “I DO” campaign details.
Our more than 100 yearly bridal shows provide brides-to-be with an opportunity to find their dream gown at an incredible savings, while contributing to services that provide education, information and outreach to men, women and children affected by cancer. Show sales include hundreds of new, name brand and designer gowns, as well as lovingly worn gowns in various styles and sizes, and we offer a convenient layaway plan. Most gown prices range from $99 to $799 with designers gowns valued up to $3,900. If you have already said "I Do," please consider donating your gown to BABC, and your donation is tax deductible.
The worldwide support of designers, manufacturers, bridal shops and individual donations make possible our Nationwide Tour of Gowns sales. More than half the gowns presented during each event are new designer gowns that arrive directly from designers, manufacturers and bridal retailers.
