The closing of Alfred Angelo stores nationwide caused panic for brides, who are now scrambling to find wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses. Some of these brides have paid hundreds or thousands of dollars towards their gown with only a month or so to spare before their weddings day.
To Georgia brides, the closing of Alfred Angelo’s Dunwoody location also caused worry and panic. Karen Smith was one of these brides. Karen’s wedding is in October and she had already paid $900 towards her Alfred Angelo wedding dress before the store’s abrupt closing nationwide. In a recent Fox 5 news, she expressed concern over how she can move forward and find a dress in time for her big day.
After hearing about the abrupt closing of the major bridal franchise, the Brides Against Breast Cancer team took it upon themselves to reach out to the community of brides who were directly impacted by Alfred Angelo. Karen’s family alerted her of our offer and a fitting was scheduled shortly thereafter. Once Karen arrived for her fitting, she fell in love with the first dress she tried on and left happy, dress in-hand.
